TRAVEL CARD

The PTSC Travel Card gives you a choice of unlimited travel along specific routes being operated by the Public Transport Service Corporation. Available through the Marketing Department located at PTSC’s Head Office at #60-61 South Quay, Port-of-Spain, the Travel Card allows you to hop on-and-off a bus within the specified period and route, without searching or fumbling for tickets. Nothing makes travel easier.

In 1993, the Travel Card alternative was introduced and to date its Membership has steadily increased.  Unless you are going to make one single journey on a particular route then you should really consider purchasing a Travel Card rather than single tickets.

 Here’s What‘s Included

• Travel Cards eliminate the hassle of standing in line to purchase tickets on a daily basis.
• Choose unlimited travel on the specified routes within the specific period.
•  All Travel Cards can be used all day including weekends.
• Choose between a Monthly Travel card which begins at the beginning of each month and ends on the last day of each month or if you are travelling 5 or more days on the same route then a Weekly Travel is the preferred choice.  A week begins on a Sunday and ends on a Saturday. 

Pricing

Travel cards can be purchased during the week Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 2:45pm

Travel Cards are colour coded as follows:

Arima                                           pink                                       

Chaguanas                      orange                     

San Fernando                           grey

Treasury (Subscription)    green

Conditions

• Travel Card must be used only on the route for which it was purchased
• Travel Card is non-refundable and non-exchangeable
• Travel Card would not be honoured without an accompanying photograph
• Groups of 10 or more gets a 5% Discount
• Use of Travel Card for travel beyond the route covered on the card will result in a non-renewal of the Travel Card
• At the moment the Travel Card is not valid on the Deluxe Coach Service (DCS)

What You Can Use Your Travel Card On

The Travel Card covers travel on:

-         The  Express Commuter Service (ECS)  buses (air conditioned buses)

-         The Transit buses (non air-conditioned buses)

-         The Articulated buses (buses that are joined at the middle)

You cannot use Travel Cards on the Deluxe Coach Service or on Private Charters, as well as areas outside of the area covered by the Travel Card.

How to Use Your Travel Card

Just show the Driver your Travel Card as you board.

The Travel Card is only valid when the number on the Travel Card ID corresponds with the number on the Travel Card.

For example, PTSC Travel Card I.D, 000012 must be corresponding with an up to date Travel card 000012 for valid entry.

Requirements for Membership

Simply visit the Marketing Department located at PTSC's Head Office at #60-61 Railway Buildings, South Quay, Port-of-Spain with the following:

1. A recent 3” x  4” inch passport size photograph (within two months)
2. Valid I. D Card (National Identification Card or Driver’s Permit).
3. Cash payment or certified cheque
4. First Time Members are required to pay a one time Administrative Fee of $15.00
